Steinhardtite
In the search for natural quasicrystals, numerous new minerals, both crystals and quasicrystals, were discovered that have been investigated and officially accepted by the International Mineralogical Association. Among them is a crystal phase dubbed “steinhardtite.” Cartoons courtesy of Luca Bindi and Lincoln Hollister.
